April 30, 2006

Hello friends, family and Sirens supporters

We are pleased to announce that Sirens was awarded the Jack Richardson Award last night for a second year in a row at the second annual Jack Richardson Music Awards gala last night at Club Phoenix.

The awards, named for legendary Producer Jack Richardson, honour excellence in London music.

About 8,000 fans voted for their favourites, so thank you to everyone who voted for Sirens. Your vote counted.

We have one more award show to attend this year. Keep your fingers crossed. The award recipients will be announced at the 2006 London Music Awards ceremony, being held on Sunday, May 7th, 7:30 p.m., at The Wolf Performance Hall (251 Dundas St.). Admission is free. If you live in London you are welcome to attend.

London Music Award voting is underway

January 24, 2006

Hi Folks

It’s that time of year again: Federal Election time in Canada and awards season for musicians in London.

As many of you are aware, Sirens has won the London Music Award and the Jack Richardson Music Award. We have been nominated yet again for the London Music Award and are strategically campaigning because this year the award has career impact.

The musicians who receive the greatest number of votes will be given showcases at the 2006 North by Northeast Music & Film Festival.

So, just like the Canadian Federal Election, please vote. It makes a difference.

Voting commenced on January 6, 2006. Please vote for Sirens and then please encourage all your friends to do the same.

Update, February 12: We’ve also been nominated for this year’s Jack Richardson Music Award. Please vote for us here too!

cheers
donna and jo
