Scott Matthews

Scott primarily works at The Stratford Festival Of Canada as a sound designer, FOH mixer, technician and studio engineer. This past year he designed the remount of The Tempest at the Festival Theatre.

Other sound design credits include the original production of The Tempest in 1999, the 1998 production of A Man for All Seasons at the Festival Theatre/National Arts Centre, The Miracle Worker (Avon Theatre), Little Women (Avon Theatre) and The Alchemist (Festival Theatre).

Other production credits include a newly released CD, Amitabha, with guitarist David Barrett on which Scott co-wrote and produced all the songs and played fretless bass and keyboards. Currently working with Loreena McKennitt as a studio engineer and a synthesizer technician, he also performed pre-production for her album Book Of Secrets. He released two solo albums that received extensive air and video play and were nominated for CASBY awards. Scott also developed a curriculum in sound for theatre at Fanshawe College.
