Louise Fagan

Louise enjoys a career that spans theatre, music and film. Recent credits include the hit stage show Jazzabel, premiering in London Ontario; and the soundtrack from Jazzabel produced by legendary Canadian record producer Jack Richardson. In 2003, Louise directed the London (Ontario) and New York productions of The Shimmering Verge and produced the orchestral recording River, Journey to Wellspring for Ontario cancer support centres (Wellspring). Louise was also the producer/director for the film version of Father’s Touch (D’Haene). This film was named Top Fifty in the online film festival Triggerstreet, run by Kevin Spacey.

Other favourite production credits include the Assistant Staging Director for The Scarlet Pimpernel at the Stratford Festival (2002), and the Producer/Director for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 2001 Jeux du Canada Games. Upcoming projects include Portraits: A Festival of One Woman Shows, which she conceived and is co-producing with the National Museum of the Arts (Washington DC) and the Blue Heron Arts Centre (New York City). Production work has also begun on her film project A Favour of Love based on the poetry of acclaimed poet Molly Peacock.

In addition, Louise continues to explore the potential of story-telling through various multi-discipline works that utilize music, movement, film, and spoken word.
