Karen Crichton
Karen has designed lights for theatre and musicals for over 20 years and is pleased to be involved with this commemorative production of great music.
For the past three seasons Karen worked as Assistant Lighting Designer at the Stratford Festival. Recent productions there include Into The Woods, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and The Swanne.
Last year she received a Brickenden Award for lighting Fountainhead's production of K2 and designed lights for both productions of Jazzabel in the McManus Studio. Previously she designed sets and lights for two seasons at Showboat Festival Theatre in Port Colborne and numerous productions over the years for local school and community groups, including UWOpera, London Musical Theatre and the Gilbert & Sullivan Society.
Karen teaches workshops to elementary and secondary school students and has been a Technical Director, scenic artist and adjudicator. Next month she will be lighting Fountainhead Theatre's production of Angels in America at The Palace Theatre.
