Jennifer Venner
Playwright Jennifer Venner is a London native currently living in Toronto. She holds degrees in History and Art from the University of Western Ontario and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She has traveled extensively and published articles about teaching high school students in Moscow, Russia in the mid-1990s. Her interest in cinema has provoked her to write for the screen and her latest screenplay has found producers in Toronto and Los Angeles. Hearts Made Great is her first work for the stage and was inspired by the stories of the First Hussars Artillery Regiment from London, Ontario, which saw action in Normandy on D-Day. In honour of the Year of the Veteran (2005) as declared by the Government of Canada, she dedicates this play to the veterans who served in World War II.
