Scrapbook: Sketches by Sandy Branham

Sandy Branham is considered one of Savannah’s Artists to Collect. She did the CD cover art for our live CD and this tour did these sketches of Jo and me.

Sandy Branham has been quick-sketching musicians for 8 years. She is best known for drawings & paintings of people working—musicians, chefs, firemen, carpenters, fishermen etc.—but is now also known for her ceramic sculpture. On April 3rd, 2005, she received 1st place for her sculpture (a head bursting open with figures) called Deadline Depression at the Landings Spring Art Show. Currently she is doing a sketching workshop on Tybee Beach that emphasizes figures. Sandy will be facilitating a watercolor & sketching workshop in Little Switzerland, NC, in October and participating in art shows emphasizing folk culture and human rights in September and next spring.
